The American Sports University is the nation''s only four-year college solely dedicated to preparing those students entering the sports industry! ASU is also the nation’s first university to create a mixed martial arts competition team training year around in their state of the art (50,000 square foot training center) while the students/athletes earn a BACHELOR OR MASTERS DEGREE.
The American Sports University has hired long time MMA promoter Mr. Tedd Williams as the Director of Mixed Martial Arts for the university. Intern, Mr. Williams has hired world class MMA trainer Franklin Aguirre as the Head Coach at the American Sports University….
To build the university’s MMA competition team, the college has granted 50 athletic scholarship slots for those fighters wanting to attend college & continue to build their fighting careers... These scholarship students are offered the opportunity to fight on campus every other month while gaining their four year degree.
On June 20th, 2008 MMA history was made! On Campus, 18 recruited MMA fighters fought for the chance to for a FULL-RIDE athletic scholarship to attend the American Sports University.
