"High Impact" Brings the Action

Pauma Valley, CA (USA) – Gladiator Challenge, presented “High Impact” on Thursday, July 23rd, live from Casino Pauma in Pauma Valley, CA. In the main event, Fernando Gonzalez won the GC Light Heavyweight belt in a victory over Frank Avant. In the co-main event, UFC veteran Andy Wang defeated Josh Ramage. Also, in what is considered an upset, Landon Piercey claimed the GC Featherweight title after a win over the experienced Robbie Peralta. Here are the full results of “High Impact:”

- Herman Terrando defeated Gabriel Godly by rear-naked choke at 2:11 of the 1st round (welterweights)
- Xavier Stokes won a split decision over Peter Martinez after 3 action-packed rounds (bantamweights)
- Nick Gonzalez got the rear-naked choke victory over Andrew Brown at 2:00 of the 3rd round (bantamweights)
- Joe Henle ended Frank Pizznilli’s night with a rear-naked choke at 1:30 of the 1st round (light heavyweights)
- In the first TKO/KO of the night, William Fisher finished Anthony Herrera at 2:47 of the 1st round (bantamweights)
- Travis Brown vanquished Matt Anderson by TKO at 0:49 of the 2nd round due to strikes (heavyweights)
- Hugo Sandoval conquered Joe Acuna by split decision (featherweights)
- Dustin Thornton submitted Ben Champeaux by armbar at 1:16 of the 1st round (bantamweights)
- Mike Cardosa secured a submission win over Joey Guevara at 0:57 of the 3rd round (welterweights)
- Alex Soto continued the streak of submissions with a tapout of Chris Dixson at 1:00 of the 1st round (featherweights)
- Kenny McCorkell demolished Clayton Wamphlet with a KO at 0:14 of the 1st round (middleweights)
- Nicholai Boruff equaled the previous fight’s finish, KOing Jess Moreno at 0:14 of the 1st round (light heavyweights)
- Joe Calavitta triumphed over Carlos Sanchez by armbar at 1:06 of the 2nd round (lightweights)
- James Geggie got the leglock submission with a knee-bar win over Josh Carpenter at 1:29 of the 1st round (featherweights)
- Sam Rodrigues slapped an armbar on Tony Hayes to get the victory at 0:58 of the 1st round (lightweights)
- Landon Piercey upset Robbie Peralta, taking home the Gladiator Challenge Featherweight Championship with a tapout at 4:41 of the 2nd round (featherweights)
- Andy Wang displayed his tenacity on the ground, TKOing Josh Ramage at 1:16 of the 1st round (welterweights)
- The main event saw Fernando Gonzalez win the Gladiator Challenge Light Heavyweight strap over Frank Avant by rear-naked choke at 0:21 of the 1st round
